  1. I love your 4 word reviews. They are always right on, and something I could NEVER come up with myself.

  2. I've been waiting for your review of Stardust since I saw that you were currently reading it. I had been a little disappointed with it so I was interested to hear what you thought. I'm afraid I must be addicted to exciting climaxes in books because I was let down. Does that show a level of immaturity? Oh well. I also had read a review where she said that it was one of the best books of the year for her. I think it made me expect too much.

  3. KT,
    Thanks!
    Kim,
I think what bumped it up to four stars for me was the style of his writing. It was subtly quirky, and I loved his word choices. I had such a clear picture of what he was describing. Other than that, I was not wowed by the plot, just moderately entertained. Another appropriate four-word review that popped in to my head was "sexed-up fairy tale." When I hear a description such as "an adult fairy tale", I except it to be more sophisticated, not just a fantasy injected with a few sex scenes and a diminutive "F" word. Is that what makes us adults? I think I would have been more disappointed if I hadn't read your review first, so I wasn't expecting the best book in the world by the time I actually got to it.
Oh, my! I guess I had so much to say about Stardust that I should have just done a regular review!

  4. Your four word review describes it perfectly. I was just curious for a few more details. Thanks for the explanation.

  5. Love the start image, is this one that you can click on starts to decide how many are colored or do you just have this one saved as a 4-star review?
