Once again it's time for a Literary Giveaway Blog Hop hosted by Judith from Leeswames' Blog. This time, I compiled a list of all the the classics that I rated five stars on Goodreads, and the winner will be able to pick one, which will be shipped from Book Depository (so make sure that it can be delivered to your country by checking this list.) Here's what you need to know:
- Check out the list on my right hand side bar for the choices
- In the comments, either let me know which one you would choose if you won, or tell me a classic that you would rate five stars (even if you're the anti-rating type . . . )
- Include an email so I can contact you if you win.
- The giveaway will close at the end of the day October 19, and I will select a winner within the next day or two.

Wow, what a choice! I think I'll have to pluck one sort-of at random and go for 'Hiroshima'... I've heard of it, I've heard good things ABOUT it, but I have no idea what it's about! I've discovered some of my favourite books that way.

I think reading them both is interesting because they were writing around the same time and their styles are so different and yet they both had a powerful influence on how poetry broke away from traditional poetry.
Also, there aren't any sacred texts on your list. You can hardly get more "classic" than sacred texts because most writing began in recording the history of the people. Try these:

What a great giveaway! All those fantastic classisc which I have either read or have waiting to read. I am going to go for The Murder of Roger Ackroyd as I am a massive Christie fan but this one has managed to pass me by so far. As for a recommendation I would say that if you like classics then read East Lynne by Ellen Wood - it's so overlooked and it's suich a GREAT book!

Thanks for a great giveaway! I'd actually read most of your 5 star classics in school (middle-college). I'm not sure which one I'd choose, BUT if this were my list I'd definitely add The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and The Hound of the Baskervilles. I'd probably add all of the books in the Sherlock Holmes series by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I read my first Holmes story in middle school and very much enjoyed them. Definitely on my books to (re-)Read list! :-) I am also a blogger, a newbie, and one of my three niches is books and reading.
